Experience A Free Safe Ride Home

Our Roots
About
Drive Safe Kalamazoo (informally known as DSK) is a non-profit organization whose goal is to increase the safety of the community by providing, on nights of operation, a free, non- judgmental, safe ride home to all Western Michigan University students and their guests Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights in the Kalamazoo community.
Since the formation of this program in September 2003, DSK has provided over 80,000 rides home to students who otherwise might have drove while intoxicated or ended up in other types of unsafe situations. The impact of our organization to the Kalamazoo community is immeasurable.
DSK prides itself in being completely non-judgmental. Our main goal is to get our patrons from their pickup location to their home location safely. Therefore, DSK extends a warm welcome to any patrons as long as they can provide one Western Michigan University student I.D. for every three people.
In addition to being a state-recognized non-profit organization, Drive Safe Kalamazoo is a highly successful registered student organization. With over 300 trained members added each year, DSK is recognized as one of the largest organizations on campus. We are always looking for more highly-cherished members to add to this wonderful group. If you are interested in becoming a member, please email info@drivesafekalamazoo.com

Location
We are currently located at Western Michigan University in the Student Organization center (SOC) within the Bernhard center next the Hoekje/Bigelow dinning center.
